Lower Mainland Trial
Date: Saturday, March 12
Time: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Location: Thunderbird Stadium, University of British Columbia
Age: Players born in 1995
Registration for the players will start at 12 noon outside the stadium. Thompson has requested that players RSVP as soon as possible as space is limited.
The Western Canada Games, scheduled for August 5-14 in Kamloops, will feature rugby sevens instead of the more traditional 15-a-side game. To prepare for the upcoming season, Thompson is hoping to identify more rugby players capable of playing the high-tempo, abbreviated version of rugby.
Thompson will also be holding a trial in Kelowna this Saturday, March 5 at KSS High School. The trial starts at 11:00 am.
After the Lower Mainland trial on March 12, Thompson will make his way to Nanaimo for the North Island Sevens trial on March 13. The trial is scheduled for a 1:00pm kickoff at Nanaimo Rugby Club.
